About Our Founders

Space Design Collective was founded by Genna Jacobs-Freeman and Erik Stewart, a partnership born from shared values, passion for design, and complementary expertise. Together, they bring decades of experience in design, project management, and client care. 

Genna’s keen eye for detail and Erik’s innovative approach to storytelling through interiors result in spaces that resonate on a deeply personal level.

Genna Jacobs | Founder

  • Genna Jacobs-Freeman is a visionary leader whose work bridges the worlds of public health, operational excellence, and intuitive, wellness-centered design. With a foundation in managing large-scale programs and a passion for creating environments that transform how people live and feel, she brings a rare blend of strategy, creativity, and soul to every project.

    As co-founder of Space Design Collective, Genna unites her talent for systems thinking with her deep commitment to neuroaesthetics—the science of how our surroundings influence emotional and physical well-being. Through thoughtful use of light, color, texture, and spatial flow, she crafts interiors that support calm, clarity, and joy. Her work is grounded in purpose, executed with precision, and always guided by the belief that design is a powerful catalyst for well-being.

    Genna is also the founding force behind the Interior Design Society – Atlanta Chapter, expanding one of the nation’s most respected design organizations into a new hub for creativity, education, and ethical leadership. Under her guidance, IDS Atlanta is poised to become a vibrant community for designers seeking mentorship, collaboration, and inspiration. The chapter reflects the same values that define Genna’s work: balance, connection, and the pursuit of beauty that enhances everyday life.

    As co-founder of Space Design Collective, Erik approaches each home as a living narrative. He explores the interplay of fabric, texture, form, and contrast with intention, shaping interiors that feel cohesive, organic, and deeply personal. Guided by a refined modern organic style, he infuses every project with warmth, balance, and natural elegance—resulting in spaces that are both elevated and enduring.
